Small DVR with integrated PoE - where to find/what to buy?

other wise sounds like bad wiring or camera is to far from the NVR PoE. All in one models have smaller power supplies than a regular PoE injector or switch.

Also I get that these kind units have their place but I have yet to see a lot of good things from them.

That's the kind of unit I was able to find many examples of, but no dome cam and no HDMI which are part of that spec that started this whole problem. Sorry for my misuse of terminology, I think of appliances as DVR's and real servers as NVR's - I guess I'm biased against the stupid...
